Boehringer Ingelheim - largest biotech plant Europe


The largest and most modern European plant for the production of biopharmaceutical drugs "G 104" was inaugurated at the company Boehringer Ingelheim, production site in Biberach/Riß in South Germany. The inauguration took place on September 17th 2003 in the presence of about 700 specially invited guests. The inauguration ceremony was opened by a welcome speech by Dr. Wolfram Carius, Head of BioPharmaceuticals, Boehringer Ingelheim in Biberach followed by Gerhard Schröder, Chancellor of Germany. As other important representatives from industry and politics were present Dr. Johan/C.H. Boehringer Sohn, Prof. Krebs/Boehringer Ingelheim GmbH and Erwin Teufel, Ministerpräsident of the German county Baden-Württemberg.
